Ganapati Bappa Morya The Seattle Maharashtra Mandal invites everyone to celebrate Ganeshotsav with a traditional ceremony full of pomp and enthusiasm. Please join us for Ganapati puja, Maha-Arati & Prasad, followed by a wonderful entertainment program presented by the local kids and youth. The program ends with a traditional Marathi dinner to complete the experience.

Programme guidelines

1. One child, one program
2. Kids of SMM members only can participate in the programme.
3. Age of child- 4 - 18 years
4. Minimum participants in program- 4
5. Time limit as follows (includes setup time, performance & cleanup of the stage)
• Short skit- 15 mins
• Dance- 5 min (Song can be in any Indian language)
• Songs- 10 mins
6. Auditions will take place about 1 week prior to the program 7th Sept. This is not a selection criteria, but it is for the committee to plan program structure, logistics etc.
7. The deadline for submission of entries is 31st August
8. When submitting entries to the SMM event coordinator we need following:
• Program Name
• Brief description of the program if applicable (this will help us place the program order and for doing the program guide)
• Type of Program- Skit, Song, Dance etc.
• Duration
• Name & Age of Participants
• Program Event Coordinator- Name & Contact Information
• Need to list the props which will be used for the performance (Props to be arranged by the participants)
• Audio and Light Requirements
9. Once the entry is submitted before the deadline, SMM event coordinator will acknowledge the entry received.
10. SMM event coordinator will need a copy of the CD (dance songs, music) during the auditions. Please keep a copy of the CD for yourself as SMM will be not responsible for lost/damaged CDs.
11. Use of Glitter, toy guns, lighters, smoke/fog machine is strictly prohibited. If such is used, then the program event coordinator and team performing will be held liable for all the damages and fines.
12. Backstage:
• One program coordinator will be allowed backstage
• No food and drinks allowed
