Like every year, Seattle Maharashtra Mandal will be celebrating Ganeshotsav this year on Saturday August 29th, 2009. As you all might know, traditionally in Seattle, Ganeshotsav is a children's event. We provide a platform for children to perform, to showcase their skills, arts and talents, in the fields of music, dance or drama. We would like to call for entries for this event.

We have a set of general guidelines for the items, so that we can have a smooth process for organizing this event.

The guidelines are as follows:
* Minimum age for participation: 4 yrs
* Maximum age for participation: 18 yrs
* There should be a minimum of 3 active participants per program entry.
* Any child can participate in a maximum of one program entry.
* Duration limit for plays/skit: 20 minutes. (includes setup and wind-up)
* Any type of adult participation in performance is not allowed.
* Duration limit for non play/skit events: 5/10 minutes. (includes setup and wind-up)
* All the participants must be current year 2009 members of the mandal.

The last date for entries to be accepted is Friday August 7th, 2009. Auditions will be held on Saturday August 15th, 2009 to finalize the program entries. (Further details about auditions will be sent later to event coordinators). Send in your entries to programs@seattlemm.org. Please include the Coordinator contact details, number of participants, name and type of entry, and participant names.
